Here at Dotmaison we’ve long been admirers of Bluebellgray’s distinctive way with floral patterns and striking colour coordination. The Scotland-based production house creates beautifully made items capturing the essence of floral artistry.
Wonderfully elegant cushions, bedding and wallpaper all fall under the company’s remit to provide a lovely offering of homeware items ideal for a relaxed new look.
The following are just a few of the delightful pieces currently available that showcase the company’s finesse with stylishly evocative patterns and premium quality manufacture.
Style watchers and homeware trend gurus have in the last few years seen a rise in the popularity of wallpaper as a home statement piece. The above Cactus Wallpaper by Bluebellgray would certainly fall into that category.
With its energetic display of greens, blues and pinks, the wallpaper will bring a dynamic, organic themed look to a living area. Inspired by the curated gardens of Marrakech, the watercolour painted wallpaper is very much up to date with interior fashions. Produced in a natural matt finish, the wallpaper arrives as a 10m roll and is easy to put up and attach to a wall.
A more abstract scheme of colours is offered with the Colorist Wallpaper. The block shapes of watercolour textures could bring a stylish art studio look to a living room. Available as a set of four panels designed to be positioned together, the wallpaper is an exciting and resolutely modern take on home decor.
The Colorist design also plays an important role in Bluebellgray’s collaboration with fabric house Bute’s. The wonderful cushion features the Colorist style made in viscose and linen on one side, and Bute’s
pink speckled fabric on the reverse. Ideal for displaying a cool and creative side anywhere around the home.
Another fantastic cushion showing off Bluebellgray’s excellent understanding of colour is the Blue Skies Cushion, 50x50cm. The inky watercolour markings produce a whimsical, dreamlike effect. Patterns of passing clouds and skies of different blue hues are summed up in the piece, providing a dramatic, romantic study of above the land.
Another cushion from Bluebellgray, the Big Pomegranate Cushion also shows off a delightful abstract pattern of lovingly created brushstrokes. The 50x50cm cushion features a tactile outer material, and has a luxurious feature lined interior.
The square cushion is excellent to match with the Blue Skies cushion, or any number of other blue homeware items. For when it comes to colour coordination and the complementary nature of grouping items together, Bluebellgray know better than most!
